Jewellery is a powerful expression and each piece comes together to tell a story of who we are. Ele4orce’s most recent collection of fine jewellery has been inspired by DOSHA energy. Our personalities are influenced by our dominant elements and DOSHA allows us to tune into both our strengths and weaknesses. Head over to my story to swipe-up and ready my latest blog on Ele4orce’s website, I am talking all things fine jewellery and Dosha testing.

– Introduction

Gemma Forsyth is an Australian actress best known for the role as Evie McLaren in Netflix’s original series, Mako Mermaids. Born and raised in Brisbane, she grew up performing. Gemma started dancing at the age of 6 and fell in love with the art of storytelling through movement. Her transition to acting was a simple decision and she’s been chasing her dream ever since. Gemma is set to star alongside a talented female cast in Little Giant’s, The Good Hustle, later this year.

– Tell us about your acting career

I started kinder ballet at the age of 4. I was an only child, so mum was always putting me into activities; she wanted to make sure I was well socialised. One of the best things she ever did for me.

I loved all kinds of dance; jazz, ballet, tap – I did the works. It brought me so much joy, but it was the storytelling aspect of each performance that became my real passion. I never had great technique, but I could always get into the character, so the transition to acting was a no brainer.

I feel very blessed to have worked in the industry for quite a while now. I got my first commercial and role in a short film at the age of 8 and I’ve worked regularly since then. While the last two years have been a challenging time for artists and creatives, I’m humbled and excited to star alongside a tremendously talented female cast in The Good Hustle – a television show set to shoot in Queensland in later this year.

– Which was your result from the DOSHA test?

I’m predominately Vata Air & Ether.

– How do you think it reflects your personality, do you see this element within yourself?

I can definitely see why I got this result and it’s certainly reflective of my personality.

As a creative, I usually have a number of different projects on the go and I’m always coming up with new and exciting ideas, but I struggle to follow through and can often feel overwhelmed and anxious.

I definitely excel when I have a set routine and my days are jam packed like when I’m working full-time on set or I’m jammed packed with appointments – I thrive when I have structure and routine.

And yes, my boyfriend would agree that my disposition is highly dependent on the weather, the people around me and the food I’m eating. Hanger is a real thing and I believe that good food is the key to happiness!

The only thing that doesn’t resonate with me is sensitivity to the cold as I’m always warm, even when it’s freezing outside. It’s weird.

– What is your favourite item from Ele4orce and how does it make you feel each time you wear it?

My favourite item from the Ele4orce range would be my Gold Balance Sylph Ring featuring 5 natural white diamonds. It has an upward-pointing triangle with a horizontal line through it. Diamonds have an unconquerable hardness and have been known since antiquity, as a “Stone of Invincibility,” bringing victory, superior strength, fortitude and courage to its wearer.

I love wearing this piece as I think it really epitomises the place that I’m at in life and my career. I’ve always been a shy person, conscious of ‘getting it right’ rather than just doing me. But over the last 12 months I’ve grown, I’ve felt more comfortable in myself, I’m more willing to take risks, make bolder choices and take chances. I think this beautiful piece symbolises how far I’ve come and a reminder to keep moving forward with courage.

– If you could give one piece of advice to someone looking to invest in their first high-end jewellery item, what would it be and why?

High-end jewellery is an investment. Choose a piece that is personal to you and not just a piece that everyone else is wearing. My most treasured pieces are often simple, elegant and have special meaning to me.
