Jamie-Lee is a Sydney-based content marketer and founder of childrenswear brand mīere. With a big love of minimalist fashion, she shares daily tips and outfit ideas on how to maximise what you already own, in addition to designing versatile and timeless essentials for the little loves in our lives.
– Tell us about your journey into becoming a professional content creator
I first started “creating content” at the age of 13. Two decades ago! At the time, blogs were fairly new. It was a hobby which I loved, building a website, creating graphics, and connecting with like-minded individuals.
There was a sense of community that came with it which I loved; building connections with people all across the world. My interests slowly shifted to fashion as I got older, and around three years ago I left a job in publicity to focus on digital marketing for brands, and creating content for myself full time. And at the beginning of this year, I also launched a childrenswear brand, which has been an amazing experience to start a business from scratch.
– Which was your result from the DOSHA test?
My result was predominantly Vata Air and Ether.
– How do you think it reflects your personality, do you see this element within yourself?
I found it really interesting discovering that people with this DOSHA find their disposition or mood is dependent on elements around them; the weather, the people they spend time with, or what they consume. This is something I’ve found so true in my own life. I’ve always said that I feel like I draw my own energy from others, so this felt like a real affirmation.
It was also uncanny reading through the strengths and weaknesses listed, as many felt like a reflection of self. I’m the type of person who always has a project. I love learning and trying new things, so generally have multiple things on the go at once. And funnily, I need very specific conditions in order to fall asleep (I suppose my anxieties also play a role here!).
– What is your favourite item from Ele4orce and how does it make you feel each time you wear it?
My favourite item is the Balance Undine Ring; a thin gold band with a triangular setting that has a sapphire in the center. Sapphires are said to have a calming effect when worn, and I definitely feel a sense of ease and comfort.
– If you could give one piece of advice to someone looking to invest in their first high-end jewellery item, what would it be and why?
Always start with the classics – they never go out of style, and you’ll find yourself returning to those pieces time and time over.
